Missions
Le travail proposé s’inscrit dans le cadre du projet européen DSWAP dont le but est d’élaborer un système de traitement d’eaux usées urbaines compatible avec une réutilisation agricole des effluents traités, tout en garantissant la santé publique, la santé environnementale, et la qualité du sol pour une agriculture durable. La personne recrutée rejoindra l’équipe de Microbiologie Environnementale du LCPME pour analyser (1) la persistance de pathogènes et indicateurs viraux à transmission fécale, (2) la persistance d’éléments génétiques mobiles vecteurs d’antibiorésistance dans des effluents et sols traités, et finalement (3) étudier la qualité des sols traités à l’aide de biosenseurs bactériens indicateurs de stress. Ce travail sera effectué en collaboration avec d’autres microbiologistes du consortium orientés sur la persistance de bactéries pathogènes et de gènes d’antibiorésistance, mais aussi avec des chimistes environnementaux (polluants émergents), des chercheurs en génie des procédés (procédés de traitements), et des agronomes (performance des traitements dans le contexte de la réutilisation de l’eau).
