Description de la mission
Dans le cadre de ses fonctions, l’ETI apporte son appui à la représentation nationale de l’OMS au Vietnam pour renforcer le soutien au gouvernement dans la lutte contre la résistance aux antimicrobiens (RAM) et mettre en œuvre le plan d’action national pour l’accélération des actions de lutte contre la RAM.
En respectant les directives de travail de l’OMS, il/elle joue un rôle clé en tant que conseiller politique, afin de recommander des solutions stratégiques, opérationnelles et innovantes pour aider le pays à mettre en œuvre des stratégies, et à adopter des directives pour renforcer les systèmes nationaux dans les domaines mentionnés ci-dessus. Il/elle soutient le travail quotidien de l’équipe, y compris le travail avec et entre les programmes. Il/elle fournit un soutien technique en travaillant avec des experts et en introduisant de nouvelles idées et preuves pour améliorer la lutte contre la RAM. Le titulaire travaille avec plusieurs équipes du Bureau de l’OMS au Viet Nam et contribue à maintenir l’efficacité de l’équipe dans la lutte contre la RAM à travers les programmes afin d’obtenir une plus grande efficacité du travail au niveau national et avec les partenaires de développement.
Contexte de la mission :
La Résistance aux antimicrobiens. La résistance aux antimicrobiens est l’une des plus grandes menaces pour la santé publique dans le monde y compris dans la région du Pacifique occidental. L’émergence et la propagation d’agents pathogènes résistants aux médicaments qui ont acquis de nouveaux mécanismes de résistance continuent de menacer notre capacité à traiter les infections courantes. La propagation rapide et mondiale de bactéries multi et pan-résistantes, qui provoquent des infections qui ne peuvent pas être traitées avec les médicaments antimicrobiens existants, est particulièrement alarmante. La diffusion de la résistance aux antibiotiques représente la perte d’un outil important pour lutter contre une infection bactérienne courante.
Le bureau OMS de la région Pacifique occidental a fait de la résistance aux antimicrobiens l’une des quatre priorités thématiques importantes.
