Les coquillages de la région, principalement ceux de la Baie du Mont-Saint-Michel, du Morbihan et également ceux de la Charente-Maritime, sont déclarés impropres à la consommation jusqu’à nouvel ordre. La contamination maritime des côtes par le norovirus serait la conséquence directe des très nombreux cas de gastro-entérites rapportés en Bretagne depuis Noël engendrant une contamination des coquillages via les rejets côtiers des eaux usées provenant des réseaux d’assainissement et des stations d’épuration.
